"Karis like Paris;" I noticed your smile. There was blue light in your eyes, plus your perfect hairstyle. We both played the mello, in the KSU band, and what all came next, not a soul could have planned! - March 2024

We started with marching, they'd call out “BAND HAULT!!” My eyes wandered towards you over hot hot asphalt. And our relationship grew, past the practice field grids, because you and I had earned TBS bids! - March 2024

Educational modules, and socials, and more, those TBS meetings ranged from two hours to four. And I couldn't have guessed, imagine my glee, when you told me much later, you'd signed up to see me! - March 2024

At one long Zoom meeting I noted you say, University Band is the place you would play. Thus it was my turn to sign up to see you. It was that very night that I joined U band, too! - March 2024

In band we played hours, take after take, but all I could think of was "when's the next break?!" ‘Cause on break we'd stop playing, I'd stand up, turn around. Without fail I'd see you, and be enamored, spellbound! - March 2024

To the couches and armchairs of Bandsmart we'd retreat. We got closer and closer; moved from two to one seat! In the evenings we skated; we'd fall, stumble, and trip. Without fail I would tumble, when I caught sight of your hips! - March 2024

Maybe it was the cookout we ate many nights? Perhaps WandaVision, or beanbag delights? It could have been painting, rolling marbles like stone. But for some reason we chose not to go it alone! - March 2024
